My Book is here! In Paper! – Celebrating yourself –

I can´t believe I finally did that thing! – I wrote a book and self-published it into paper form – I am a writer now no? Can you believe that I used to wish that I grew up in a different era? One without the internet? But in these past few years, I have been feeling more and more proud of myself for winning the seed of life race in this era, because it has really afforded me so many things and opportunities! Like writing my first book and not needing to knock on doors or lick stamps and stay in waiting for responses that would get to decide whether or not I got to be read. I got to do it by myself – to make. For that I am grateful. I celebrate this moment because not only because I did a thing but also because it will be the first of many more hopefully!

While writing can be challenging, it really really can be rewarding in many ways other than just monetary ( even though that helps with the fun). It gives us a chance to leave something behind – a piece of our identity for generations to come. While in the future and working on bigger writing projects like novels, I would love more help, it is beautiful for me, for my first work to be entirely mine and of me – flaws and all. There is a beauty in that.
